MANSFIELD PARK

by Jane Austen, adapted by Gillian Hiscott

Upstairs at The Gatehouse, Highgate
11 - 28 July 2007

A Library Theatre production

A new adaptation of Jane Austen’s most enigmatic novel - Mansfield Park. Romance, music and dance make this a delightful play for a summer evening. The story follows Fanny Price’s admission into the world of her relatives, the Bertrams, and to the sexual awakenings of the young members of the family. Receiving kindness from her cousin Edmund, Fanny falls in love with him and is forced to witness his infatuation with society tigress Mary Crawford.

The famous Austen humour is brought to the fore with the aid of the bumbling Mr Rushworth, and self-righteous Mrs Norris.
