412 LETTERS
by Matthew Wilkie
Union Theatre, Southwark
4 - 22 April 2006
An Adverse Camber Theatre Company production
From the moment we met, I imagined you naked… I just didn’t expect it to be at my sister’s wedding. Charlotte can’t finish her novel; Ros can’t finish their relationship.
412 Letters is a bittersweet comedy about beginnings, endings and the chapters in between. With its simple and evocative style, 412 Letters focuses on the intimate relationship between two very different women.
When Ros returns to Charlotte’s flat, she discovers that the private letters she had written to her ex-lover are to form part of Charlotte’s new novel. And on a typewriter it’s final, you can’t delete your thoughts. Is it time for them to turn over a new page?
