THE PRINCE AMONG MEN
by Eric Henry Sanders
Union Theatre, Southwark
31 January - 18 February 2006
What happens when you study Machiavelli as a how-to guide?
The second in the season of New York plays to be appearing at the Union, The Prince Among Men is a wonderfully funny and hard hitting look into the corruption and drive that fuels an election process.
A witty and erudite dark comedy about greed, power and the election process, The Prince Among Men is set at a fictional boys' boarding school.
In order to impress his father and obtain the use of his farmhouse for Half Term, Dickie convinces Bozo to run for class president. As unlikely a candidate as can be imagined, Bozo must overcome his own unfailing stupidity and mediocrity in order to defeat Woody, the standing Junior Vice President on the inside track to the Presidency.
The Union Theatre presents the premiere of The Prince Among Men by New York playwright, Eric Henry Sanders.
