EXTRA TIME

Landor Theatre, Clapham North
10 - 28 January 2006

A Landor Theatre Production in association with Barry Fantoni

Extra Time takes place in the very near future. This summer, perhaps. Two men, one aged ninety-four, the other ninety-six, meet in a high rise apartment somewhere in South America. It is Vogel's home. He has spent most of his life hiding there, trying to forget his past filled with its unforgivable crimes. And he has succeeded, until now.

Bloom tricks his way in, dragging with him his battered old trunk full of lists, gramophone records, photos, military uniforms...keys to unlock Vogel's memory. It is Bloom's only reason for living.

Bloom bullies Vogel. Teases him. Taunts him. But when Bloom is forced to admit, Here you are, more real in my mind than you are in your own... his task seems impossible. Gradually Vogel responds. But what then? is it now too late for justice? Too late for vengeance? And what happens if there is still no conclusion after extra time...?
